What does jasmine mean spiritually?
Jasmine flowers symbolize spiritual awakening and enlightenment. In many spiritual traditions, jasmine represents divine growth, spiritual illumination, and a deep connection to the divine. Its fragrance is widely regarded as uplifting and conducive to meditation.
Dear Jasmine,
It feels like just yesterday when you were six years old, and I carried you on my shoulder facing backward as you soared like a superhero. Your radiant smile, kindness, and gentle spirit will forever hold a special place in my heart.
Matthew 13:31-32: He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, when it grows, it becomes the largest of garden plants and a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”
God’s overwhelming Agape love has carried us through Jasmine’s hemorrhagic stroke since 1/9/2025:
- 317 days of resilience
- 4 ICU/CCU hospital stays totaling 192 days
- 2 acute rehabilitation stays totaling 84 days
- 2 subacute rehabilitation stays totaling 49 days
- 11 trips to the operating room
- 21 surgeries and procedures
- 65 CT head scans
- 25 chest X-rays
- 5 MRI scans
- Over 700 lab tests
- 15.9 million breaths taken
- 47.1 million heartbeats endured
Jasmine is a fighter, determined to follow Jesus and use every breath to testify of God’s love and share the Gospel.
One ICU moment stays vivid in my mind—on 1/16/25, Jasmine used her brain waves monitored by EEG to draw two fishes, recalling the miracle of the “two fishes and five loaves.” John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Jasmine ran the first leg of life’s 4×100 relay with grace. In these 317 days, God granted her a second chance to reaffirm her faith. Though bedridden, she used her legs to worship God on Easter Sunday, and through eye gaze technology and AI voice, she told me three times, “My name is Jasmine. Happy Father’s Day. I love you,” bringing tears to my eyes. Together, we attended Crystal Chen’s funeral via livestream in June, where Jasmine’s tears silently fell.
Jasmine, you are like a mustard seed destined to grow into a mighty tree where birds find rest on your branches. I wish time would stand still so I could hold you close forever. I miss you deeply, but knowing we will be reunited in Heaven fills my heart with peace and joy.
You are a beautiful champion now with Jesus Christ. I am proud, honored, and privileged to be your dad on earth, and I rejoice knowing you are free from pain and suffering in Heaven with our Heavenly Father. Jasmine, we will carry your baton and continue the race to spread the Gospel worldwide.
In Christ’s love, always,
Your Dad
